To foster a well-rounded education, we support initiatives beyond the standard curriculum, allowing students to explore diverse subjects. Our donations have historically funded areas like S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Art, Music, and Dual Language programs. Teachers can apply for grants to address immediate needs, and last year’s grants covered items such as books, unique curricula, science kits, and video production tools. Current funding requests range from Lego robotics to unique curriculum enhancements. Your support helps us say "yes" to every enriching opportunity that enhances student learning.

We seek funding for additional staff and resources across our schools to address students' social and emotional needs. Each full-time counselor costs between $80,000 and $100,000 and requires a five-year commitment. Smaller requests for enhancing community spaces, peer tutor programs, and student council activities range from $200 to $30,000. The Student Liaison Committees (SLC) also work to improve school culture and well-being, utilizing donations from $150 to $1,000. Your support is vital for fostering a positive and supportive school environment.

We provide sustainable O/Ex (Outdoor/Experiential) Education programming for all Basalt students, featuring activities like gardening, biking, skiing, and hiking. With a dedicated Outdoor/Experiential Education Coordinator, we ensure diverse outdoor experiences that foster leadership and teamwork skills, but expanding these opportunities requires raising the coordinator's budget. Additionally, we enrich student experiences through field trips, special events, and partnerships with organizations such as Aspen Words, ACES, and the Aspen Art Museum. Donations are essential for supporting both the expansion of outdoor programming and the continuation of these impactful special programs.

We celebrate and support our teachers and administration through gestures of gratitude and practical assistance. Donations have funded recognition events, gas gift cards, and weekly snacks. The Student Liaison Committee (SLC) collaborates with staff to address their needs and challenges. We invite donations to continue showing our appreciation and enhancing the work environment for our dedicated educators.

We’re excited to announce the addition of a full-time college/career counselor at Basalt High School, with funding from a generous donor covering half of the $100,000 annual cost for two years. We aim to sustain this position long-term to support students in their college and career pathways. Additionally, we offer scholarships to BHS seniors, including those for first-generation students and academic achievement. Contributions also support new initiatives like the Junior Ventures curriculum for middle school students. Your donations help pave the way for student success beyond graduation.
