School Liaison Committee
The School Liaison Committee (SLC) at Basalt public schools provides parents and community members with opportunities to support our schools through volunteer work, teacher appreciation initiatives, and organizing school events. We hold monthly SLC meetings to foster collaboration and enhance the school experience for students, staff, and families.

Parent volunteers are needed to help make copies in the BES office.

Teacher Conference Meals
Twice a year - Fall 2024 and Spring 2025
Committee Chair and Committee needed to organize two meals through community outreach to local restaurants for Fall and Spring conferences; committee is responsible for delivering, set-up, and take-down/clean-up. Last year's committee lead, Paige Rangel, will help support the transition to a new lead for this year.
Hot Chocolate Cart - December 19th
2-hour commitment to make and distribute hot chocolate to all BES students
January 2025 Movie Night

CMAS Purchases
Committee Chair and Committee needed. Committee will work with Mr. Waaler, Jen, and Marci to purchase items for the annual Student CMAS Raffle

Turkey Trot - Thanksgiving Day
Committee needed to help plan, organize, and execute our annual Turkey Trot. For those who are not able to be present the day of, we welcome volunteers to help plan/prep prior to the event. Day of volunteers are welcome to run/walk in the trot as well!
