I am beyond thrilled to step into the role of Executive Director at Basalt Education Foundation! Education has the power to transform lives, and I feel incredibly lucky to be joining an organization so deeply committed to enriching the experiences of students, teachers, and schools in our community.

BEF has already made a profound impact, and I can’t wait to build on that momentum—working alongside passionate educators, dedicated parents, and generous supporters to expand opportunities for every student. This work is about more than just funding programs; it’s about sparking curiosity, fueling dreams, and shaping the future of our children.

ONE SCHOOL, ONE BOOK

This year, Basalt Elementary School’s One School, One Book program brings the entire school community together through the shared experience of reading The Wild Robot by Peter Brown! BEF is proud to fund this initiative through a grant for every BES student to receive a copy of the book in English or Spanish, ensuring that every family can join in on Roz’s journey.

To celebrate the conclusion of this incredible program, join us on
Friday, March 7th at 5 PM in the BES gym
as we bring The Wild Robot to life on the big screen with a special showing of the animated movie!
